Hi all

Sorry not been around for a while.

Any way I have been offered a job TAX free abroad and we are living on the OH's wages at the mo. What are/our options?

Options are anything you like. There is nothing to say that as a BR you cannot work/live abroad and also be paid abroad.

As DI says you have no option to inform the OR as you are still BR.

So even though I am working out of the UK tax free I still have to tell the OR! Um so if I am out of the country past the end date of the BR I still have to tell the OR? If I inform the OR are they likly to be bothered in taking cash from me when I am in another country being paid in the local currency?

I know this is naughty but what if I dont tell the OR? As surly you only pay TAX on money you bring back to the UK!!! so if I dont bring it back till after the BR has ended....... (PS dont want to be dishonest just asking)

The question is not about the tax (they wont set up a nil tax code), just that if you are earning they will reasses you and look if you sould pay an IPA out of any surplus
