My auntie recently told me to break a matchstick to break my bad luck (son had to have an operation, dog had to have 19 stitches, washing machine broke etc etc). Seems to have worked so far - touch wood. Maybe your OH can take you out when he feels better. Have a 'me' day - they are my fave days when I forget about housework and everyday stresses put my feet up and watch rubbish telly.

You girls are all wonderful, thank you. Had a chat with OH about feeling rubbish, sat and watched some rubbish TV with him, then got a text late on from a friend who lives miles away saying how much she was looking forward to tomorrow. I didn't even know she was coming, turns out my other friend and her had been in cahoots to surprise me for my birthday! So that#s lovely.

Woke up this morning with what I think is the beginnings of what OH has, boooooo. I'm determined not to wallow,off to a wedding fair in a bit and then I am going to drag myself out this evening to have some fun!
