Meet David Beckham at his Academy win!

i've just had a call from Volkswagen about a competition I vaguely remember entering (need to find the thread to confirm!) for an adult and up to 3 children to go to London to the Beckham Academy and meet David!

Now, as I don't have children, it might be a tad difficult to rustle three up in three weeks, but my OH , who is on the committee of a local youth football team and a lifelong Man U fan might be rather pleased with me when he arrives..........

I asked the lady who called and she confirmed it didn't have to be my children who attended - I'm gutted though - first competition I win off MSE and I don't get to get the prize!!

Wow, thats great! I can't stand the guy but I can imagine the little football kids being over the moon about it. Perhaps you could sell raffle tickets to the kids in the group to raise money for it?

that is a fab idea BS - goodness knows how he will pick, but they need the names/dob/next school year they will be in by tomorrow!!

I'd like to 'see' him to see if he is as good looking in real life, but I reckon my OH might just have the edge over me to go - he will be running round like a loony when I tell him - Beckham is a god in his eyes!!

I think though, I deserve some kind of 'brownie point' treat in return for letting him do this but I bet I don't get anything!

I found the thread, it was a kosher competition I entered!

I feel a bit mean as I was in the middle of answering an AQA question when the phone rang. I expected it to be a sales call and butted in and said 'no sorry I'm busy as she asked for me! ' Feel a bit guilty now, I was probably a bit short with her until she explained, but I was trying to find some info online and my AQA clock was ticking!

giggle........he'd be even more like a 10 year old than he is already with it! He is taking three children from the football team he is on the committee with.
