Am on a roll this morning - washing has been done and is blowing away on the line - it's sunny, too! Some of it may even be dry enough to iron soon :) Dw is now on (having retrieved numerous glasses and mugs from DS1's room) More items have been listed on fleabay :j: 2 boxes of paperwork (receipts/ gtees/ instructions) have been gone through to check all relate to current items (1 piece of paper recycled) DS3's room has been checked through and some missing pieces for some more fleabay-able things have been found. Some bits n pieces have been relocated to the garage (correct home - they are diy related) and bins have been emptied and sorted for recycling collection tomorrow :) Bank accounts all checked :) Just about to sort latest batch of filing (a bit of a large pile!!- haven't touched it this year due to flu/ kitchen/ general laziness! :D) ready to do with a cuppa, and then I shall check washing for any dry items and do some ironing whilst catching up with H0lby :)

Just have to record this here for posterity - there is absolutely NO ironing to be done here! - it's all up straight, including that produced from the washing done this morning (glorious weather means that it was all dry by midday) (And the only pending washing is a teatowel, 2 kitchen cloths and a pair of socks :))

(The ironing basket gets emptied quite regularly - but usually there is a load of washing drying, so it's only empty for a couple of hours or so - should be 24 hours minimum this time :D)

And agree with you re transferring DB pensions. It can be a mugs game. But FAs get hefty fees for arranging it. I am keeping mine where it is. Its not large but I suspect its best being left where it is

With the amount of ironing you do, you must all look so good! I really admire that level of care :)

Haha! - if only that was the case!! :D Sadly I'm extremely low maintenance other than with ironing! ;):rotfl:

So..... in money news we've paid off OH's car finance (finally!) - 6 months early (yeay! - a small saving :D) That leaves us with the BTL and 5k on a 0% CC (with more than 2y to run) (mainly kitchen related) Even though it has 2 years+ to run, it's my plan to clear it in 2018, so that 2019 sees us with just the BTL.

Haven't got a clue what effect increased pension contribs/ increased tax allowances will have on our pay as yet - will see that in the payslips this week. However, the car finance was 'costing us' £550/ mth (£300 repayment and £250/ mth saving to repaying) so we'll be better off by this - although I am planning on putting £250/mth away in a S&S ISA (poss Vanguard Lifestrategy 40%) I'm actually in quite a positive frame of mind re money at the mo - I think getting rid of the car debt has really helped (I've been saying I've been going to do something about it for ages! - although putting £250/ mth aside to it for a year or so has obviously helped) Also - of course - this lovely sunshine makes everything so much better! :D:D

Shifted some more stuff via fleabay this week - and some boxes (free) via fbook - all good :)

Where did the weekend go?!? Am sure it has whizzed past! Gorgeous weather, though - for the vast majority of it :) Some statement plants bought for the garden (too many £ at the GC!!), which OH has planted today - will hopefully look lovely :) A catch up with sister, nephew (gorgeous) and our aunt in town over a cup of tea :) Some general housework, some food shopping, a couple of other errands- and - !!!!!!! it's over! Am working every day this week, so I hope the lovely weather will be hanging around :)

No money news - have been spending it, rather than paying it/ making it!
