They are sooo cute and I can't stop looking at them! I'm really pleased withthem especially as they were 'free'.
Oh mini shepherds pies is really sweet idea x Suppose I could do mini chicken pie too but need something that needs a lid on so I can do a mini reveal :rotfl:

You could do a lidless chicken pie, or what about a chicken stew with ickle mini dumplings in there?
I'm coming to your house
You know what would be nice in there too, apple crumbles.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

They are very cute indeed! You've probably already thought of this, but how about the traditional eggs en cocotte which the dishes were (presumably) made for? Everyone could have their own dish, then just remove lid and dip in toast.Back after a very long break!0

That sounds good too, I've got some egg coddlers like these.....

Norman fish pie would be good in there too, with grated cheese on top that you've burnt under the grill.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I have mini cocette envy
They are gorgeously, dinky cute and I LOVE them. How about mini crumbles or some kind of gratins? Or for serving french onion soup with a lid of cheese on toast. Whatever you choose will taste special anyway because they're so cute

Thanks gang and merci thriftlady x I saw le Creuset do a cocotte book but is €10
Glad you are all suitably envious of my cute little darlings :rotfl:
I'm going to start with eggs - although I now NEED the adorable egg coddlers a la Barneysmom
Kinkyjinks - love the French Onion Soup idea - that would be so sweet x
Fish Pie is just too cute - am very excited about that
I'm actually wondering if all of our meals can now be served in the mini cocottes ...maybe I'll lose some of the weight I've put on since being OS!?
Thanks again

oh that would be cute x thanks Lizbob
I've just been admiring the box and the set is based on the seasons - white one is winter, green one spring, brown autumn and bluey one is summer .
There are also pictures of cooked dishes - rhubarb crumble, potato and celeriac gratin, pumpkin souffle and eggs and asparagus ....Bon App's Scraps!MFb40 # 130
