I can honestly say, having lived and worked in Bermuda fo 9 months....don't bother. All the decisions on paying for the flights remain with the Bermuda tourism board and no conversations will be entered into afterwards. This is typical of the culture and translates to mean 'don't bother thinking you will get it'. During the summer the beaches are over-packed unless you know where you arew going, and the basic cost of even a four night stay will be very high.
Poor Bermuda, getting into bed with BA could be the biggest mistake of their lives...... I wouldn't worry about not getting your money back as much as never actually arriving for your special day. It would seem that as a final insult, the highly paid (compared to other more superior airlines!) BA employees want you to arrange the most important day of your life with them only to go on "STRIKE" days before, scuppering your plans.
I will never book with this airline again as I don't trust them to get me where I need to be at the time I need to be there.
Someone should remind them that there are many many people out of work at the moment and all they can do is strike??!? doesn't make sense to me.
If I ran BA I would fire them all and take on new staff, I know I know, it would cost millions to pay them all off, but guess how much they are losing every day they strike! you guessed it MILLIONS...........

Well got my cheque in the mail, took a bit of prodding, and even then they'd forgotten to sign it, but they did come through in the end.
Have to say, Bermuda was brilliant, people really friendly and they couldn't do enough to make our wedding go smoothly!0 -

No offence, but I think this response is ridiculous.
Ok, you've had a bad experience over the strikes with BA, but I would not tarnish every single employee of British Airways with the same brush if I were you.
Perhaps if you looked carefully into the details of the strike action, and the ballots to go on strike, you would see the staggering numbers that disagreed with the action. Not only that, but the proportion of British Airways employees that were involved (namely cabin crew) compared with all the behind the scenes staff, management, pilots, engineers, planners, schedulers.... its a small proportion.
Saying that if you ran BA you would sack all the staff... well, that borders on the ridiculous.0
