crumb-catcher bread board advice please

Hi there, I had some birthday money and I'd like to get one of these, but I need to know if it'll do what I'd like it to, so I don't waste my pennies 
I try to keep the crumbs from slicing the bread for using in stuffings and pate, but I get a lot of wastage when I try to swoosh the crumbs off the top of the board into my bread crumb bag. Does anyone have a crumb catcher board with a funnelly bit that helps you to catch the crumbs into something? And if so would you recommend it?
