We have asked friends, as I said we didn't think it would be a problem, countrywide advisor also said it wouldn't be a problem. One of my friends has put me in touch with her advisor who I am meeting tomorrow. I originally only posted here to see if the valuation that countrywide had carried out could be used by ourselves if we change to the advisor I am meeting to avoid paying for another.
The restriction is a Devon county council s127 (I think!), bsically to buy any if the ex LA houses here you have to have worked or lived in devon for the last 3 years.
