These 'Sub-Prime' lenders people are talking about.

Does anyone have any names of companies they or people they know have used before?

I realise the interest rates may be sky high but Id like to get a few quotes all the same.

    Thanks.

WTTM go annoy someone else unless you have something helpful to say - MORTY:D (I see why you do that grin thing, it REALLY makes you less annoying and offensive :j)

Not annoying anyone - pointing out the obvious. OP can't clear an overdraft yet wants a £10k loan - what bit do you not understand ?

As you don't seem to want to be particularly helpful to the new guy Id like to keep the question open for anyone else to try to answer? :D

Seeing as none of the above quoted companies are reputable and/or offer the long term larger loans I am seeking.

Interestingly OP, My DH spent the afternoon running some numbers and it turns out that by paying £50 extra on one of his repayments on the loans he has individually would actually have him debt free about 8 months earlier than if he consoldates andpays off over a 5 year period. Just needs to be disciplined with the O/Draft to make it go first!

    In branch.

I realise what you are saying re the overdraft makes sense, but Ive not been able to do that in about 2 or 3 years, and as much as I want and need to save I cant see it happening.

A sub prime lender is something a previous poster mentioned - who are the best 'sub prime' lenders to try?

If I appeal the Natwest rejection and get rejected again, will that affect my credit scoring?

No it would not affect your credit score appealling, someone will look at your application manually. You would not be credit scored again as they would be able to see your credit file from your previous application. Are both your experian & equifax credit files squeeky clean?

I have not actually checked the Equifax one, I assumed they both provide the same service but I take it Im mistaken?

Might be worth appealling with the bank then - as long as I dont come off any worse.

Thats pretty inspiring, wish I could afford to do the same.

I strongly think if I had stayed in the job and area I was in I may actually have everything paid off by now! Unfortunately at the minute I can just about afford the fuel to work and back.

Just to re-iterate, Im not currently in a steaming pile of dogs mess and Im sure there are a lot more people worse off, Im just looking for a rapid solution before I get to that stage.

Experian and equifax both serve the same purpose in the fact the provide information to banks etc.

However some of the information contained within both reports can be different.

Thanks Ill check on the Equifax one tomorrow as well then, just to be sure.

But Im pretty convinced now that its due to the overdraft, especially as my Experian rating was something like 920/999.

What would be the best way of going into the bank and appealing the decision, just go in and see them as before?
