ive done it

was pronounced bankrupt today at 11.51am.

I was up nice and early at 7am. feed my baby daughter whose 7 months old got her dressed had tea myself, put all the documents in my bag + the fees. Caught bus at 8.20am, asked the gentleman sitting next to me on bus where the county court (thanks to him gave me exact direction).

Arrived at court 8.45am it was pouring outside the security guard saw me with my buggy and told me to come and wait inside. he was ever so nice asked me for my name and told my to wait also offered me a seat.

i spend those 15 min talking to him and at the end he asked me so where can i find a nice girl (haha...made me laugh). he searched my bags and told me to go upstairs and wait. caught the lift and sat down.

slowly slowly the waiting area was getting filled by people.

A pretty usher came and everybody started going up to her so i decided to go too and she told me that i be the first. Sat for 45 min badly needed to go toilet, two ladies sitting next to me so i asked them if they could mind my baby who was sleeping in the buggy.

As i came out the loo the lady told me i think the Clark just called your name out but he has taken someone else in. Oh that made me angry if only i could have controlled my bladder for little longer.

sat spoke to the two ladies sitting next to me, baby got up gave her milk, she wanted to play everyone was looking at her and passing their time. I got called in quite quickly clack checked my forms and took the fees, told me to wait outside, and expect to wait at least an hour.

he said i dont have to see the judge unless i want to, obviously i said no i dont want. my daughter was playing up would not sleep so i was just carrying her and trying to put her to sleep, lucky she did fall asleep in my arm.

At 12 the usher came and sat next to me, showed me my bankruptcy notice and told me to always keep one copy. Left the court, was starving but just wanted to go home. caught the bus home. got home had a nice mug of tea, and noddles hmmmmm.

i felt quite relived, felt like saying in your face to all the banks. now im waiting for the OR to call.

Thank you to everyone on this forum if it wasnt for you guys i still would have been sitting stressed at home worrying how am i ever going to get out of this debt.

Like they say in Arabic Shukkraan (Thank you) to you all

thank you very much guys. I do feel lighter and feel like going back to work because i know my money will be used on me and family not paying debts.

I wanted to ask one thing. my partner has one credit card with limit £2000. if i was to contact the mortgage company and ask them if we could miss one or two payments. Would that seem wrong if i have just gone bankrupt do i need to tell them that.

if we miss two payment he be debt free too.
