Dealers have some good deals on at the moment, prices have recently dropped so you should find what you want in the high street for a similar price to online.

There is a where to buy on www.sony.co.uk, do your reaearch online and then try calling your local dealers and asking what the best deal is on the set you want.

Bear in mind that you will pay a premium for using a company that holds stock locally rather than an etailer who order your tv when you order it so have less risk and therefore can take less profit to survive.

Why does it have to be today?

You are potentially spending a lot more money by having to have it today. Surely with this kind of purchase you think about it for a while and then ask MSE for the best place to find it cheap?

Your best bet would be to do price comparisions with Comet, Dixons and Currys. What's worse though is if you buy online from one of these lot you can get cashback via quidco and their online prices are normally cheaper anyway. Plus with Currys and Dixons you can get a further 5% discount by using a code. Plus you can get 10% cashback with an egg card for the rest of the day (only available in July).

Just one thing. You can often get Comets online prices instore if you mention them so that might be worth a try.
