Declaring maintenance payments

A while ago, when I was discussing my case with the CSA, the advisor explained to me the PWC (my ex wife) has to declare the payments. To whom does she have to declare? What do they have to declare, What are the penalties for the PWC?

Hopefully somebody can put this in plain english :-)

PS The info I get from here will not be passed on, she should have been told this, but I know she is greedy.

If she is receiving benefits such as Income Support she should declare the amount she receives and currently they will deduct anything over £20 per week from her benefits, however this is all due to change soon.

I dont think she claims Income support, but I know she claims DLA for my youngest son and she is a nominated carer for him. I know her new bloke is living with her & working.

If thats the case, she won't need to declare it to anyone.
