I have changed over to the LHA scheme so I get more rent paid as my LL increased it. Anyway the whole thought of the rent being paid to me is scarey. Can you only have 1 bank account when BR ? As if thats paid in with my other benefits and DD I will get in a right muddle. I wanted it kept seperate.. any ideas?

You can have as many accounts as you like, but they will have to be basic. The Co-Op Cashminder is a great account, plus internet access/direct debits/online payments etc. The Barclays also do a basic account but dont offer the online access to it! Natwest have a Step account (my account of choice!), but they may or may not offer it to you as a BR.0

I dont think the same bank would let you have two bank accounts. But its worth an ask; what's the worst they can say?0
