hi we opened a natwest step account prior to bankruptcy or was not interested and natwest said they didnot have a problem with it

I have a natwest step account. not gone BR yet but have just opened a coop cashminder account this morning for ack up just incase my step account gets frozen. if i dont need it i will just close it when i am discharged.0

Good precaution.
As has been said, Natwest will normally close the account.
Even if they don't at first, they could suddenly do so a few months down the line.

Hi I had a Nat West Step account and opened a Co Op Cashminder account about 6 months ago in case NW froze it. They haven't, there are just a few pounds in there, I did have a query recently and rang them and they clearly were running my account as normal0

I had a Natwest personal current account and a Natwest business account.
They removed me from the business account (it was a limited company) and closed my personal current account. I tried to appeal and was told that they could not keep the personal account open because it was an account which could get credit (even though I had no overdraft on the account). They told me I could open a Step Account but despite trying, it didn't happen. So it's possible that they will let you keep your Step Account as it's not a credit account.0
