Seems the op didn't download ccleaner but in fact a sponsored ad on the same download page - the ccleaner download button is on the right side of the page, as shown here viewed in IE with no ad blocking:

But when viewed in Firefox..looks like this:
It's an easy mistake to make though, lots of these free download sites feature sponsored program downloads with a much more prominent download button that misdirect the downloader.0 -

One last question...will I be better running microsoft essentials antivirus etc rather than avast ???

The format for the URLs of the Builds pages for Defraggler and for Recuva is very similar.0 -
