Hi everyone - just found this thread and I have a question. I'm thinking of selling things on ebay for friends (for a fee as I'll be doing all the listing, parcelling and taking to the Post Office etc) - what do you think is a fair price to charge them? Thinking of charging a percentage of the final sale price (after Ebay fees have been deducted) - what do you think?Sober October = 0 alcohol free days

Hi guys,
My debt has shot up latelyand I am fed up so I am going to try and sort it, starting with £10 a day (although that seems scary!!) I have already sold £40 worth of stuff on ebay but am running out of ideas on what to sell! I need your help...what other ways are there of earning £10 a day? I can't do overtime as I am a teacher, but I do some tutoring. I might look into doing more but don't know how to go about it.

welcome to the challenge bigbeff. The first post has lots of ideas as to how to make money - surveys, mystery shopping, ebay etc. Good luck
mookiepook for easy to list low price items i ask for 10-15%, complicated items 20-25% + all fees. Best way to look at it is what the items should sell for and how long it will take you to list them. Do remember you will have to declare you're earnings so if you're not already registered as self employed you will have to else HMRC might be after you0 -

be careful here
are you holding the items?
inspecting condition etc?
we have seen many cases where selling for friends has ended in grief0 -

very true. in the early days i sold the items but my friend posted them. once she posted an item before the bidder paid (despite me telling her never to do that) and of course the guy never paid for it! lesson learnt by both of us there!0 -
I know it sounds stingy but I decided I was only going to get children easter eggs this year { oh and my BF } so my first saving this month was £10 I didnt spend on adults easter eggs that they dont normally eat anyway
Saved £5.60 by using a free childrens cinema voucher
Saved £8.00 train fare from getting a free lift off my dad in the car
Saved £10 as bf bought my meal at the pub last night
Saved £20 not taking dd to the local fair because my dad decided to take her instead
I owed bf some money and he knocked a £5 off what I owed him { being the nice person that he is}
Saved £4.00 not taking dd dance class as she stayed at a friends instead
So a total saving of £62.60
Im going to complete plenty of surveys this week in the hope to ge tsome amazon vouchers and do a few car boots this month weather permitting , also have a huge clear out of all the junk around the houseEbay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin
