Bankruptcy and Cashminder account

Hi everyone.
I have followed everyones brilliant advice, just spoke to the bankruptcy helpline at the CCCS - they were very helpful and advised me that bankruptcy would be the best route for me. My debt management plan was being dealt with by the CCCS anyway.
Iwould just like to know that due to the amount of direct debits going out for utilities etc and my disability benefits being paid in to my bank account should I open a co-op cashminder account now or after bankruptcy so at least all my affairs are in the one account (I am with co-op anyway) and there will not be any gap where I will not get any money or be able to pay my direct debits?
Hope this makes sense anyway...
Many thanks everyone

Hello robbond55, I glad you sought help. Like Dojoman said alot of people do, so they are covering their benefits and DD's for when they do go bankrupt. You can ask the OR when you talk to them on the phone after court if you could still use this account as your benefits are your main worry etc.
It did make sense x
Take care.

Thank you.
Thats my main worry if the OR says that I cannot have this account either but then I suppose that they will have to allow me access to that if all my DD's and benefits go into there otherwise I will not have anything to live on.
I should imagine thats coorect anyway... or can there be problems in situations like this?0 -
Ah - I have just had my question answered in my previous thread on disability benefits and Bankruptcy. Immoral_angel came up with the fact to sort it out before hand and as long as it is a basic bank account the OR should allow it.0
