    Well done Quasar!!!
I also take pride in being able to do things that when i was still with exOH wouldve acted all girly and helpless!!!! Impressed all my friends the other week when i got DSs new (heavy) double bed out of the garden (where it had been delivered) upstairs and then put it together on my own!!!! Can also wallpaper now, although fitting the lino in the bathroom was a bit tricky!!!!! Might even attempt the drill later, and put some shelves up in DSs room!!!!!

Clever Girl. :T I wish I could fix my computer as easily as you fixed your plumbing. :p

You must feel so proud Quasar.

I did this a few months ago. After a power cut I found my boiler was dead. I called a plumber, who said it would be the electrics, get an electrician. And an electrician, who was busy for the next week. So I investigated. I even posted for help on the DIY forum. Eventually the only thing I opted for was getting a new programmer off Ebay - I only needed to change the faceplate, as that was what had fried in the power cut. I was soooooo chuffed when OH got home and the house was nice and cosy again - he couldn't believe it.

    Well done!!! :T:T

I'm more DIY orientated than my OH. He's good at the reaching and brute strength based jobs while I do the plumbing, decorating, I've laid carpet in the bathroom and vinyl flooring in the kitchen and loads of other "man" jobs ;) It's called being a modern woman in my book :D:rotfl:

I'm a modern women too. modernwomansmilie.gif - Up to the eyeballs in debt, who has needed to develope the skills to:
plaster wall, fit plasterboard, plumb in dishwasher ( no more of this dishessmilie.gif), fitting carpets, cutting lino, plumb in and build frame for bath. Next on the list is fitting sick on tile to concrete. It's saved us a fortune, but it was a fortune that we just didn't have. The worst thing about it I have sore fingers for days and my lower back is a bit dodgy.

Al I can say is ugogirl.gif
