I think it is key that you get an account breakdown. I thought that the CSA couldn't ask for money back if they overpayed, it would be down to their error, not yours.
Don't worry too much, the CSA make loads of mistakes! I'd be interested in why they haven't been able to collect arrears from when you first contacted them, did your ex not work all those years ago? Did they give you any detail at that time?0
