I have just got a letter from scm solicitors they said they are acting for lloyds ,the letter said i had to pay £9000 in 7 days or they would start perceedings  I rang them and they said they would accept £60 per month for 6 months , i have been paying Lloyds £60 per month for the last 12 months ,SCM have given me there sort code & account number they said i have to start paying them now .Has my debt been sold on to SCM ? do you think i may have a chance now for them to accept F&F offer in the future ? Is anyone else on here dealing with SCM how are they to deal with ? I am doing my own DMP

It says 'acting' for lloyds, in which case no it has not been sold on.
Since they are acting they are unlikely to accept a great F&F offer, but you could always try at 30-40% and see what they say.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Thanks that is what i thought .
Does anyone know how long my account is likely to stay with SCM before it is sold on ? and who do Lloyds normally sell the debt onto ?0 -
I believe debts are pooled together and sold in batches to people offering to buy them, so it could go to any DCA.
They may never sell the debt, or they could sell it in weeks, no way of tellingAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
