darkconvict, i have returned 10 of the items to them and they are saying i am £700.00 in arrears due to the reversal of the codes, i did point out to them that they have debited that amount from my credit balance, when i ordered each item £50 was added to my account balance - they have now reversed it back so why should i be in arrears.??0

14 codes of £50 = £700.
If you returned 10 of those orders, then it should only be 4x£50 = £200.
I assume what they may have done is refunded the value of the order with the discount on, but obviously you have incurred a cost of £50 as a separate charge.
Say you order £150, got £50 off. So were charged £100. They then added on a charge of £50 for an invalid discount. So £150 total. You returned the items, and they gave you the order value back of £100. Leaving you £50 in arrears.
Thats only a guess.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

hi again darkconvict, some of the orders i sent back were ordered together i.e. 3 items at say 20 pounds each, and then the £50 came off. its a bit confusing but THey are saying i owe them £700 of arrears, I have contacted the Consumer direct and they have advised me to write a letter pointing out they took the £700 from my credit balance and that any goods i kept should be paid back at the weekly rate and i have since contacted ittlewoods again and the woman understood Horay!!! but she was unable to deal with it and was passing it onto the people who deal with it so i am back to square one with littlewoods as this is the same place i was in 4 days ago when i phoned up and was told i would get a telephone call back which i did not, For everyones information Consumer direct has told me to write and dispute this with them which has to be placed on hold and they cant ask for the £700 for at least 28 days until the matter is looked over thoroughly, and another thing littlewoods rob people lol, i sent 6 items back in one go and in one of the bags was 2 items, they have credited me for 5 items but 1 item is not showing to the value of £69.00, when i contacted them to let them know they wanted the bar code off the receipt which of course i threw out thinking they had all been credited SO HANG ON TO THE RECEIPTS FOR A LONG LONG TIME.0

Returning items can be a pain regardless of the company its hit/miss. One company told me they weighted items before been sent so the items couldn't be missing on delivery, since it was a big order i threaten to recover the funds via CC refund and they quickly sent out the remainder of items admitting their mistake.
If a debt is in dispute under OFT guidelines they do have to look into it, and cant demand payment. You have ordered alot of items so you will need to keep track of everything. Have OFT said anything about if the voucher refund is considered to be an unfair term, as obviously the refund could happen at a much later time than the order? If it is deemed to be unfair they can't refund the vouchers.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
