Cheese and onion bread and butter pudding - sounds disgusting, but always goes down well here. Thinly slice the onions and fry gently untill soft. Make your custard for the bread and butter pudding, just miss out the sugar, and assemble the buttered bread, layers with grated cheese and onions. - simply but yummy.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

a cheapie is a pizza base mix, knocked up with tom puree watered down a bit, pinch dried herbs, chopped toms, any bits of veg, thin sliced mushrooms, bit of frozen sweetcorn , onion, jalapenos whatever youve got.

    Cheese on top

Serve with jacket pots from value bag. CHEAP AS CHIPS!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

    Hi Piratess
Don't know if you'll like this but it goes down well in our house and makes loads.
    JAMBALAYA
300g basmati rice, 200g prawns, 1 Mattessons smoked sausage(or similar), 1.2l chicken stock (Oxo), 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 onion, 1 clove garlic, 2t oil, dash hot pepper sauce (optional).
Chop onion and garlic, cook in oil (make this in a big pan like a wok) until soft, dice sausage and add to pan for about 3-4 mins. Add tin of tomatoes, pepper sauce and chicken stock. Bring to boil then simmer. Add rice, cover with lid or a big piece of foil and let it cook gently for 15 minutes until the cooking liquid has been reduced and the rice is tender. Add prawns and cook for a further 2-3 mins. Serve straight away. Delish!!!!
I paid £1.49 for 300g prawns, £1.14 for the sausage and 90p for the rice (1kg), all at Sainsburys. The rest I already had in the cupboard. I guess you might get the ingredients cheaper elsewhere but it makes so much that I think it works out pretty cheap.
    Bon Appetit!!!!
