What Happens On Discharge

Hi again!
My wife and I went bankrupt in February last year.
I was told it is an automatic discharge after one year. But have never heard anything, I rang the OR office and they said you will have been discharged, but didn't sound that convincing.
-Should I receive anything in writing?
-Whats the best/easiest way of checking that the discharge took place?
-We have got a payment arrangement for 3 years should I still notify the OR of any increase's in pay etc now?
-Should I do anything now? i.e. to repair Credit rating etc...
-Should you get a discharge certificate? How? & is it worth it?

Sorry for the raft of questions.

Lastly I have to say this site has been an amazing help to us during quite a tough period in our lives.
&
To anybody out there worried or concerned about going bankrupt, I can honestly say it's one of the best things we have ever done it has given us a second chance to get on with our lives, sure we haven't got loads of money and no access to credit but I feel everything we have now is real, saved for and paid for and it sure beats that sickly feeling every month of trying to juggle an impossible amout of debt.
GOOD LUCK ALL!!!

-Should I receive anything in writing?I don;t think you receive anything in wirting to confirm you got AD.
-Whats the best/easiest way of checking that the discharge took place? Check the Insolvency Service website for your entries. You will need to click into them and it should say on there that you were discharged on whatever date. Take a couple of prints of these pages as proof as you will only be on there for 3 months after your discharge.
-We have got a payment arrangement for 3 years should I still notify the OR of any increase's in pay etc now? Yes, so any amendments can be applied to your IPA.
-Should I do anything now? i.e. to repair Credit rating etc... Wait a couple of months to give your credit records time to be updated then follow the advice in the sticky at the top of the page.
-Should you get a discharge certificate? How? & is it worth it?I think you have to apply to the court where you went BR and it costs around £60 although this may have increased. The prints from the IS service may be enough proof for most people.
