Landlords consent to sell?

Hi,

I currently own a two bedroom flat and In the latter stages of selling it to my lodger.

It has been almost 6 weeks since I started the sale of this and purchase of another house and my lodger the purchase of my current flat.

My buyers solicitor says they have all the replies to enquiries that they need and all the information from the housing association (which my solicitor sent last week as well as the replies to enquiries).

His solicitor now has all they need except the consent to sell from the Landlord ( hosing association), what is this and how do I or my solicitor obtain it?

My solicitor also said in the big leasehold information pack he received from the housing association (which I had to pay £80 for) they even included a draft copy of the transfer covenant or transfer assignment which is what you need for leasehold transference. It also included all the summary of the account and all the usual information.

Obviously the HA know I am selling as they have provided all the necessary information to my solicitor which has been forwarded onto the buyers solicitor. They must have 'given' consent surely with supplying all the necessary information as well as a copy of the document you need to transfer the leasehold interest?

So basically what is consent to sell, surely I already have it after reading above and the buyers solicitor are getting mistaken, or what document do I need to sort it!

Trying to sort this out ASAP as due to exchange next Wednesday.

All replies and information of all kinds appreciated.

Kind Regards

BW

Hi, that's what I thought Thrugelmir, I'm just wondering why after my buyers solicitor has received all the management information asked, why would there be a need for consent? (also included draft transfer doc)

I'll get in touch with my solicitor tomorrow and tell him to get his !!!! in gear!

    Regards
