looking after ex partner and BR

Hi Again,
another question, i am living with my civil partner in a rented flat but after i go BR we have decided to seperate, i will move back to my parents and he will be in a rented student flat (he is at uni and not working) he has a basic student grant but would i have to claim any financial assistance to him , such as food etc in my outgoings after BR??

    No. Unless the courts decide that you should be paying something upon the disolvation (??) such as spousal maintainance (don't know what the term is for civil partnerships!) The OR will not permit any expenses for an ex-partner (with the exception of court orders or maintainence for children).

    Hi

    Not really sure how it works with Civil Partnerships, at the moment my divorce is going through and basically I was advised if I were to go BR I would have to do it before our financial settlement was agreed (the last court date) and then the BR Order would take presidence over the Divorce settlement (if that makes sense), Again this was in my case and I obv don't want to give you the wrong advice.

    ok thanks i thought not , but just checking, we have beencivil partners for 3 years , together for 7, but the financial problems have worn us down, plus my wages cant cover two people :(
