after BR, cheques and online payments

Hi,
Has anyone found a bank account after BR that has cheques or online payment facilities, (BACS) as i still have to pay my casual employees .

    hard one for cheques. some banks will print you a cheque for a cost. Post office will do orders but once again charge.

    If not, then you could just pay them through your bank as normal.

    My Natwest Step allows me to set up personal payments to people/companies and I can pay what I like and to whom, whenever I like. Although, for wages though, you would have to pay a few days earlier, so it hits there account on the agreed date.

    And I too was once paid like this (as were all employees). It was paid directly into my bank account with a simple payment set up on the company bank account; it was simple as I was the one who set it all up and paid me!


    You will not find an account with cheques though.

    cheques are not that important i guess as hardly anyone uses them today , but as long as i can pay people through the account online thats fine. thankyou

    Even I've not got a cheque book and I've got a full current account and no bankruptcy behind me. lol You should be able to do internet banking, standing orders and direct debits through a basic bank account though.

    We have a Co-op Cashminder account and have online banking with it. OR has just told us we will be able to carry on using this account with no probs.

  • And in any case in a couple of years cheques are becoming obselete whatever account you have!!!
