Not a bad laptop, but double the price I would pay! - plus it says it has 2MB of RAM! lol somehow I think that is wrong or it is very worrying!
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)

not a bad spec, i got a similar laptop from dell outlet... for less than £550... don't forget it's a pentium mobile, not just a pentium running at 1600 mhz
No reliance should be placed on the above.
  • they did have a toshiba pentium 4 thats 899 from 999 and putting in nhsdiscounts gives you 5% off also using an egg card gives another 5% off and you should get if for about 808.

Not bad for a days work?
2p off is still 2p off!

You must have a pretty good job :D

The spec of that laptop is pretty avergage - considering the Aldi/Lidl laptop. If your spending around £800 you should expect 512mb RAM and a branded dedicated graphics card.

I've seen a lot of Acer laptops with good specs on them for similiar prices. Can anyone tell me if Acer are decent manufacturer and also what their after sales support is like....?

    Thanks!

Acer are terrible for support stay clear. I almost bought a laptop last summer glad I didnt now. I asked them a question twice and got no answer. Boy is it so muhc hard work for a compnay to reply. Anyhow damn them they lost a sale, that will teach them.

Then a friend who had a old Acer laptop had problems and I emailed them again twice week apart for a program that they do that support battery power and on each occasion they again ignore my emails.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you
