How long to update credit file

Hi,
I'm wanting to provide an updated credit file to the bank showing I've paid off one CC and made steps with another.
As I've used my 'free' Experian offer last year i think I'll have to pay to get another report, but I don't want to be paying for 2-3 months until it updates.
Is a month long enough for them to get things up to date or should I wait?

Just use the statutory £2 credit file service - the links are here when you click on "officially checking credit files"
It takes between 1-3 weeks for them to come back, I forget which was quickest last time I did it.0 -
usually when i look at mine the balances are around 2 months behind. i don't know why it takes this long for them to report but thats just the way it is.
if you have recently took these steps, they should be reported around May, depending on the creditor and how often they report....some report every month, some every 3 etc...Debts at LBM (May '08) £5760 - Lloyds CC £4260, Lloyds OD £1500;Debts as of May 28th 2011:Santander CC: £0.00Lloyds OD : £0.00DFW Nerd #1247 - Proudly dealt with my Debts
