bankruptcy assets

My brother is looking to go bankrupt, having run up debts that he can't repay. I'd help where I could financially, but my priority has to be my 3 kids, so I'll help by getting tips & advice. He lives in a caravan with his wife. The caravan is hers but could the administrators take it, even though it's their home? Also they have a dog, which I think is worth quite a bit of money. Would the dog be considered as an asset to be sold to pay off his debts?
