Sainsbury's £10 late delivery vouchers

Options
Hi

I have just had a late Sainsbury's delivery so I got a £10 voucher (had to ask though, he nearly "forgot"). Please can I ask the people who shop online with Sainsbury's every week, how often does this happen? You see, I want them to be late because I would much rather have £10 off then it turn up on time, and if this happens regually I might be better off with online shopping :j

I was thinking I should pick the same slot next time in the hope it always run late by that time? Which slots are "best" for them being late? Does anyone do this or am I being totally silly?

I've shopped online with sainsburys for several years, they used to do two hour delivery slots, then more recently they went to the one hour and offered the one second late and you get the £10 voucher for your next shop. In the past three months I've had about three vouchers, I usually book 10-11 or 11-12 (on wed or thurs to get the free delivery, tues is also free, this is on spends over £70), once the driver got stuck in traffic, once the shopping hadn't been done in time, both willingly gave me the vouchers, the other time he gave no explanation, apologised for being late, about four minutes and went to go I asked for a voucher and he was really reluctant he said he was barely late, I stuck to my guns and he eventually gave me the voucher.
I never mind them late as I love getting £10 off

I think it has to be assigned to your account.

don't forget the fiasco in past about sainsbury codes!

I find Sainsburys food delivery miles better than Tesco- Tesco do 2 hour delivery slots; it can cost up to £5.99 delivery charge, and they are always missing things off my order, giving me manky, or mouldy fruit and veg, and substituting things on offer with more expensive alternatives!

Sainsburys seem so much more proffesional, and competent. The delivery drivers are always polite and friendly too.

I totally agree. When I was heavily pregnant the Sainsburys chap carried the shopping into my kitchen and took all of the bags out for me and put them on my worktop so I didn't have to bend! (without being asked to) When I had Tesco delivered the chap just dumped everything on the doorstep and watched me lump everything out!

Can you get free delivery then over a set amount? What about frid/sat/evenings. Am getting really fed up with the tesco codes experiments. As I always spend over the hundred pounds I'm really not prepared to start paying for deliveries. Thinking of a swap.
