Hi, I have a question which isn't directly bankruptcy but is about my wife to be, being blacklisted. Sorry it is on this forum but i thought it was the closest to the subject!

She had a house with her ex partner and after leaving him, and the house, he fell behind with payments and the property was eventually repossessed. Could anyone please tell me if she will be blacklisted and how long for?

it depends if her name was on the mortgage and bills? can you provide more info? thanks

yes her name was on the mortgage still but she had got her name off the coucil tax and utilities etc.
She was in the process of removing her name from the mortgage but every time he missed a payment the process was reset!

She won't be blacklisted, the non payment of the mortgage she was named on would have a massive negative affect on her credit rating, and if she is named on the mortgage then she is jointly liable so may find they start chasing her for the payments if her ex continues to not pay, unless her name has been taken off it since.
