Thanks everyone. A few things to add to my plans.
Welshguy, are you affiliated to those people at all?
Guess I need to find the local library and the nearest Boots chemist!!
Tonight for tea is tuna salad, well kinda. Tuna, light mayo, lettuce, cucumber, red onion. Slim fast for lunch. I don't eat breakfast but if I did it would have been crubchy nut cornflakes but OH has pinched them to take to work lol.
You're all spurring me on, don't stop now :-)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0 -
not directly no. I was introduced to it by a friend, and their friend owns that site. people are introdcued to herbalife mainly through recommendations.
I'd tried loads of things previously, but herbalife seems to work for me. I'm not saying it's guaranteed to work for you, but it's an option.0 -
Ok welshguy, I was just asking, that post being your first and all!!Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0

Right, another update, kinda.
Kaypeel, you've suggested dancing when no one is around. I do that anyway. Have just cleaned the kitchen and was jogging on the spot. I left a cupboard door open and ran straight into it. Oops. Must be more careful.
Have been running up and downstairs with a tin of beans in each hand. Quite fun, until I get to the bottom and trip over the baby gate (we keep the dog downstairs at night time). I think I'll only put the gate on at night now so I'm a bit safer. It seems I can't be trusted in the house lol.
I will look at herbalife as welshguy suggests but if it's more expensive than slim fast I'll stick with that. I can buy that locally you see and if postage and packaging pushes the price of herbalife up, my plans won't work. I'm trying to save money not spend it all :-) The same goes to people who have suggested buying DVD's. If I can get them cheap then that's ok with me, but OH won't be happy about me spending money needlessly. I wish I'd not mentioned the exercise bike because he spent hours on the net last night looking for one, decided we should have a magnetic resistance one with a heart monitor and if it hasn't got a mountain of good reviews then he won't go for it. He considered buying a stand to convert his bike for indoor use but realised they were as expensive as an actual exercise bike. Plus his bike is huge and the thought of falling off it scares the hell out of me. Obviously, MrScreamer doesn't think of the obvious like I am 5ft tall and he's 6ft. D'oh, MrScreamer.
Have stocked up on Muller light yoghurts. Only 97 calories per pot, and they're a fair size. I need a couple of snacks during the day but one a day will suit me.
All the fizzy pop has gone out of the house and has been replaced with orange juice. I will get up early tomorrow too and have breakfast so I have more energy to go out. I can walk along the canal towpath with pooch if the weather is nice. I will go so far and turn round as I've no idea where I'll end up if I walk too far. I could do with my own built in sat nav lol.
Have got some studying to do tomorrow so will have to allow plenty of time for that. Wish I did have an exercise bike as I could do both at the same time. As it is I've got to sit on my fat bum to do that. Booooring!!!
I want to thank you all for contributing. I know it's very early days but knowing someone is egging me on makes it all worth the hassle. I'll invite you all to the wedding :-) I really appreciate your help and advice!!
Oh, and kay, I already walk very fast. It annoys OH when we go for hikes. I virtually run up hills. I usually wait at the top for OH and by the time he's caught up I've got my breath back lol.
My money saving will also come in handy too. With birthday money from my parents I am going to buy a terramundi pot. Every penny I don't spend on junk food will go into that and when it's full, it will go towards the wedding. Another thing to keep me motivated :-) Next step, stop smoking (can't do everything at once)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0 -
Brilliant, sounds like you are really motivated. I'd just mention about the OJ, it does have quite a lot of calories, OK if you just have a small glass with breakfast for example but if you drink it all day long it adds up.
With the smoking, just a thought, now you're going to be eating lovely healthy foods and excercising etc, it might be easier than you think to quit as part of your gorgeous, healthy new lifestyle? Ohhh and the money you save can fund all those new smaller clothes you're going to need. xx0 -
LOL at vicki. The problem is that I already have the smaller clothes :-)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0

I go to a diet clinic at the Homeopathic hospital and the thing I have found most useful is keeping a food diary. I am losing weight slowly but surely which they are very pleased with. Good luck. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Not much of an update I'm afraid. I'm so tired I haven't the energy to go upstairs and weigh myself, I will do it later.
I was doing great until Friday. I'm constantly hungry and when bored stiff, I tend to graze a bit. I also had a drink which won't do my calorie count much good but am still eating healthy meals. In fact, I eat chicken salad every day. I love chicken and will never get bored of it. Roast chicken for tea tonight, yum.
Got a few things on my mind at the moment so am preoccupying myself with that. I'm at the dentist tomorrow morning. I've got an exam at college on Wednesday and unfortunately can't go for a walk because have got loads of things being delivered this week, including the York C102 exercise bike (birthday present from OH). Shopping tonight so will be stocking up on low fat, low calorie food.
Thanks for posting donquine, will edit my signature later to reflect my new weight. I definately think I've lost a bit because my jeans aren't ridiculously tight anymore :-)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Hi,
If you are interested in an exercise DVD have a look on amazon, they have used ones on there too so maybe able to get one really cheap. :A
I am like you with vegetables not that keen, but i have started adding them to everything especially things like curries and sauces for pasta (lasagne and spag bol) if you add a carrot or 2 you dont even realise they are there, also when you have a roast try getting things like swede, butternut squash and leeks and roasting them they are delicious! :T
I have trouble with snacking so i try to make a meal plan up for the week and stick it in the kitchen where i can see it and stick to it. I add a couple of snacks in for myself too so im not depriving myself of anything. I am a huge chocoholic so i have brought some low fat chocolate bars and i have a hot chocolate like highlights when i get the chocolate urge and it does help. I think it is more will power than anything.
I would definately recommend doing your shopping online. I decide my meal plan then just get the things i need for the week and i'm not so tempted to add anything that i don't need!
I also printed loads of low fat recipes off and keep them in a ringbinder and choose from them for the week, i have desserts in there too!!
