Looking for pop-up gazebo

Hi

We've managed to lose several bits of our 5 year old gazebo and the OH has decided I need to buy a pop-up one.

Does anyone know how much these differ in quality as we live in the "grim" north and would hate to be blown south in it!

Have seen various ones on eBay but would like to find one in shop so we can test its strength.

Thanks

Totally irrelevant to where you can buy a gazebo but..
Its stormy here today with a very strong wind. Just 2 minutes ago I looked out the window and saw a large gazebo blowing up the street with a man and 3 kids (2 of whom were mine!) running up the street after it :rotfl:
Its cheered me up no end

Moral of the story - make sure it is secured to the ground :D

Did you try Argos or B&Q? They normally start reducing things like that about this time of the year

I bought a popup type Gazebo last year from Tradex but would never buy another. Although the idea is great,it fails in execution you have to move all four legs away from the middle at the same time. This is fine if there are four people to hold the poles and no obstructions in the way.
It's easy, when you are putting it up on your own to bend the rather thin aluminium bars in the wrong direction and they snap very easily. So ours now has a fair bit of Gaffer tape holding it together.

Because it is more of a faff putting it up and taking it down I tend to leave mine up.(Not that I use it much, too busy sunbathing) and as the sides are zag zag concertina bar, when it rains, the rain can collect on the cover and drip onto the chairs below, it's tempting to think you can push the puddle up to move the water off but doing so is a fine way to get a free shower. It's not worth junking this one but when I replace it I'll get a the ordinary pole type.
