  • Hey all,

I liked Tunisia weather wise and was great for excursions. However I wouldnt personally reccomend it. Maybe we went at the wrong time, it was ramadan, and in the evening there are no women out and the bars are full of men, it can be quite intimidating if you pop out for a bit of sightseeing..

However if you are just looking to stay on complex or doing arranged excursions then it was brilliant. I just wouldnt reccomend it for those who fancy wandering off and exploring alone.

All my opinion and sorry for any offence I may/may not have caused - think that may cover me!

I do think quite confidently that you can get there for under a grand. we went full board in a nice hotel and it wasnt that much x

Gran Canaria is fab and is on the same time zone as us so you don't need to change your clocks..I have just come back from a week away and the weather was fab (we did have days where the sky went grey but it stayed dry) but mainly it was wall to wall sunshine. I know that my break was £637 inc flights and half board and I stayed in a 4* hotel but next time will go self catering as it will be cheaper.

Look at https://www.alpharooms.com as they have fab hotel deals.

We're going to Lanzarote for a week and it's only costing £550, that is just SC though.

We've been twice before, the exact same week, and that's what made us choose the date of the wedding!

It's not everyones cup of tea, but if we want peace and quiet we can have it, and if we want to go to lively bars, we have that too!

Hopefully if we get a few quid from the wedding, we want to hire a jeep and take a proper tour of the Island.

We're not going alone either lol....my aunty and uncle (who are our witnesses) are coming along, but we've been away with them before and it's not like we're gonna be glued to each other while we're away, more like just travelling together and meeting up for a couple of hours each day to have a chat ~ can't wait! :)
