Where to buy a gas fire?

Hi,
We're hoping to get a gas fire fitted and I was just wondering if anyone knew of where a reasonably priced supplier would be? It's a slightly non-standard grate, so we need to have it made to fit and I really want it to look as realistic as possible..
Any experience of this?
Thanks,
Steve.

Go to someone who has fires actually lit to see what they look like. I bought a Wonderfire LPG one years ago. There is a rich orange glow from the coals and enough yellow flame to look realistic. Just like a coal fire that has been lit for a while. It wasn't cheap but compared to some others I have seen it was well worth it. Some of the fires I have seen in houses are absolutely diabolical. Big blue flames and very noisey - nothing like a real coal fire looks like at all.
That said all these fires just like real coal fires produce a large updraft that sucks air up the chimney and produces a draught through the door etc.0
