Overdraft
I'm not sure if this is the right board but here goes. I have had my current account with RBS for 5 months now. My credit history isn't great but i would really like an overdraft. Every time i apply on the internet i get turned down. I had one with my old account (Barclays) but can't get one now. I've never been overdrawn unauthorised in my new account and i pay in over £2000 a month with my wages. Any idea of what i'm doing wrong?

Try going into your branch and asking. They turned me down for a loan online but when I went into my branch a few weeks later, they approved an even bigger loan!0

Not a good idea if your credit history is not A1!0 -
Perhaps you just dont seem a worthwhile risk to them at the moment with the increased levels of bad debt.
Have you asked them?0 -
