Are You Covering Your Arms?

Hi peeps,

Am having a bit of a dilemma and am wondering whether to shell out for a bolero (£35.00) or just buy a satin wrap.

What are you having and do you think a wrap would be annoying on the day?

Any opinions muchly appreciated :D

Thank you xxx

Not only am I covering my arms, I am now having a whole jacket being made to go over my dress! A wrap would annoy the heck out of me, as I know I would fiddle with it the whole time!

  • sorry little madam didnt see your post till now !

I'm definately covering my arms they are a bit of me that i really hate I posted here about them the other week and had some really good replies and suggestions about what I could do.

I will be going with a jacket of some description i'm like franny and I couldn't bear a wrap it would annoy me and I would end up throwing it off and going without it then complaining and regretting it when I got the photos lol

I think I will feel more confident with a jacket and I can relax that they aren't on show and not fidget with some wrap it would just distract me :)

I have long sleeves on my dress, however, my mum was conscious about her arms and so she wanted to cover them. At first we thought a wrap would be quite annoying, and she would be playing with it all day... however, when we went into one wedding shop, we got showed a few different ways of wearing it which we hadn't thought of. So now, mum has opted for a wrap, which will cover her shoulders and the top of her arms, and then tuck under and be kept tied at the back with a brooch :) That's probably not the best of descriptions, but that way it is kept out of her way, which will stop her fiddling all day and it will be secure.

Just another option for you if you are thinking of the wrap x
  • Thanks peeps,

Franny - I remember the style of jacket you wanted and that was really stunning, twas a great idea

Poppyscorner - I am deffo in the same boat I think, it will just not sit right or just be funny, GRRRR to spending £35.00 though!!!!

crldnll - that is a really good idea, and I have just been googling some nice brooches BUT I think it is still going to annoy me as it is not fitted IYSWIM. I will probably snap the broach and be like a mad woman possessed ha ha.

    GRRRRRRRRRR and thanks :D

I will post a picture after the event, its going to look amazing and being Linda who is making it, its surprisingly good value considering how much they charge for those little scraps of fabric made into wraps!

    Hi there,

Are you wearing a veil and if so how long is it?

I swore I wasn't going to get a sleeveless dress but then tried one on and loved it. I did think about getting a jacket but am having a long veil and as it covered my arms I found that was enough. If that isn't enough coverage for you then a little jacket might be the way to go!
