Can you do volunteer charity work for a work trial??

I really don't know why people continue to feed this persistent workshy slacker troll. His intentions are clear not only by his name used but also by the various posts made, all aiming to extract the maximum possible benefits out of the welfare system whilst attempting to avoid any possibility of actually having to get out of bed and do some work. I wish him well in his attempts to avoid officialdom at the Jobcentre and I would suggest that the helpful members here direct their time to helping people that genuinely need it and leave this troll to starve.0

I want to claim the maximum amount of all the benefits that im legally entitled to.
No more, no less, simply just exactly the amounts that i am legally entitled to by law.
And im willing to comply and act within every single one of the DWP's various legislations.
But I also choose to excercise my legal right to to findout every single piece of information about every single scheme and course they offer,
know every single term&condition of every regulation and scheme that they have...,
And then make my choices about my future actions based on that info, ensuring that all of what i do is within the law & regulations.
Please let me know what is illegal about either of those??

I believe that you've asked this question a number of times on this forum so not quite sure why you're asking it again as the answer hasn't changed.UnemployedAndEnjoyingIt wrote: »Ah ok thankyou.

Can i also ask you though,
for work trials with companies,
are you allowed to just phoneup companies and ask them if you can do a 6weeks unpaid work experience trial with them to gain some work experience in that industry??
Or do you have to find a specific job vacancy that they have, and then have to apply if you can ''do a work trial as a test to see if you can get that specific vacancy''??
Thanx
Work trials are for you to to TRIAL a real job with the intention that
a) You will sufficiently impress the employer that you are offered the position,
and
b) By participating in the trial you will have an idea if that position is suitable for you.
The employer has to complete some forms prior to a prospective employee starting a works trial confirming that there is a position available at the end of the trial.0 -
