Just wondering what other people get paid for working on a weekend?
Wondering if all the companies are the same as mine or do they pay extra.
That is all lol. :rotfl:
Thanks

My daughter is an unqualified care worker, age 18. She receives a bit more on Sundays, but not Saturdays. Her pay varies depending on whether it is in a private house or in a nursing home, or accompanying the district nurses. I can't remember how much she gets for each though and she's away at the moment, so I can't ask her.0

I am an unqualified community care worker, go to their homes.
The reason I ask is that I get 10p an hour extra on Sundays.
My Dad says I should get more and he wouldnt work it for anything less than time and a half lol.Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0 -
We have a residential facility and the only time we pay staff time and a half is Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. I think it's those two, definitely not New Year's Day because the theory is you won't be out partying then.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Tbh I think it depends on the employer. As I say I get extras for weekends, but I work the night shift and get the same pay as day staff. Bank holiday and Christmas etc are also paid at the normal day rate. It might be worth looking in your staff handbook to see what it says about premiums.
