Any advice regarding signed cricket bat I won?

Hi, Im a very lucky person I know, but I didnt really want the star prize in a competition I won as I dont play cricket!

Its a signed Woodworm The Torch cricket bat signed by Kevin Pietersen, the problem is, it just came by TNT and there is no certificate of authenticity? I have emailed the competition organisers yesterday and hope to get a reply, do you think anyone would buy it without one or would the emails saying I had won the competion help?

Hope someone can help?

I've sold a few things that are signed without a COA. If your selling it on ebay and you take a close up photo of the signature a real fan will be able to tell if it is authentic or not. Hope you get a lot for it.

Thanks thats a good idea, and yes ebay will shortly be seeing it, although I will hang on a few days and see if I get a reply.

a woodworm bat would be worth a fair bit anyway, whether it's signed or not :)

You could keep all the evidence of the competition (letters, emails, flyer etc) - that may be enough to reassure buyer that it is genuine because it can be checked out
