sticky drawer

As in chest of drawers...not the other kind ;)

I have an all wooden chest of drawers ie the runners are made of wood too. They're really really sticky and regularly get stuck for ages. I was wondering if there's anything I could "grease" them with to make them more slidey?

    Hiya, I have heard of spraying furniture polish on does the trick, also rubbing the area with a candle.Try both?
    If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

    talcum powder sometimes works o.k. on drawers that stick,or if you can remove the drawer then rub it down a bit with sandpaper where you can see the sticky problem it may just be that it has swollen a bit in the damp of the winter
