Nationwide Loan Question
monlou
I took out a loan with Nationwide in October 2006. Was making my monthly payments on time and had no problems. Then in December 2009 I was made redundant from my job. To cut a long story short my former boss refuses to acknowledge that he made me redundant even though i have a witness to back up my story. I have attended a employment tribunal but lost the first stage and i am in the process of appealing the judges decision. I tried to make a claim on the insurance but was told that because he put on the claim form that I left voluntary there was nothing they could do. They have now issued me with a CCJ which payplan are dealing with but after reading a few posts on here I can see that a lot of people have advised against this.
My question is is there any way I can claim the insurance? even though I have court papers to say I have been to court.
Thanks

Payplan won't deal with the CCJ, they will just admit the debt, you need to defend against the CCJ. 10Past6 wrote about this. Read - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2045387&highlight=dmp
Claim what insurance, do you mean PPI on the loan?
If so i doubt it, PPI is missold and rarely pays out, they are very unlikely to pay out on a voluntary job lost anyway, regardless of what actually happened until you have won your case it will be considered voluntary.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Hi
Yes i was referring to the PPI
I was pretty much told that by my solicitor but thought i would come on here and ask. The employment tribunal is such a long process this has been going on for about a year now and i am still battling on.The loan was taken out before April 2007 is it worth going down the CCA Route?DarkConvict wrote: »Payplan won't deal with the CCJ, they will just admit the debt, you need to defend against the CCJ. 10Past6 wrote about this. As I have already submitted these forms to Payplan is this going to be a problem?
feel like a complete idiot now. Made my first payment to Payplan this week. One thing that concerns me is that the CCJ is not showing on my Credit report.DarkConvict wrote: »Payplan won't deal with the CCJ, they will just admit the debt, you need to defend against the CCJ. 10Past6 wrote about this.
