I ordered it on Sunday. It shows instock but I have had an email saying the TMC device is out of stock. They are expecting more TMC units in tomorrow.
This is a very good price as the cheapest I could find the TMC unit was £99 with the main unit costing £240.

There's no mention of the European maps which, according to the Navman site, comes as standard on a CD. Is this the trade-off for the traffic module?

Yes it is,I have the above module and it works ok, it only receives the info through Classic FM as this is the only station that Navman has a license with, the only downfall is that it is only as good as the traffic reports it receives, which are usually about an hour behind live traffic.

I am starting to get concerned on whether the European Cds come with this package. The Navman website clearly shows that all 530s come with Sd card with UK&Ireland and an European CD.

Do you think globalpositioningsystems are keeping the CDs and putting in a TMC traffic pack instead? My suspisions are further aroused as it is now not just a weekend offer. Thereforeit shoudn't be in the grabbit section anymore.

I will have to contact them in the morning. I will cancel it if the European maps are not included as the deal becomes a lot less attractive.

Another one worth considering is the Mio 710, comes with euro maps built-in(seamless routing, much better for routing/travelling across country borders), TMC(traffic) and bluetooth.£333.

I have spoken with globalpositioningsystems and they confirm this unit ONLY has the UK / IRE map. According to their site it also appears NOT to have the remote control.

I contacted navman and they confirm this is a supplied form of the ICN 530 though they only sell it with FULL European mapping.

Comet sell with Euro main road for £249 and Currys with UK/Ire mapping for £249. I have as yet been unable to get them to agree to a price-match on this product and have therefore contacted Trading Standards re mis-leading advertising - Something for FREE is not FREE!!

In their defence the manager I spoke to acknowleged the anomaly and blamed Navman for the pricing!! He did say the website might well show soemthing better (a discount?) by the end of the week. I have printouts of their offer and currys price-match and will; check after the weekend.

I was in Costco last week and noticed they had Navman ICN550's in stock with TMC for £299, which seems a pretty good deal.
