Any pointers on our spend - despite a relatively healthy income?

And i bet you really dont need to spend all that money on beauty treatments.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Try taking a cash sum each week instead of using plastic. It'll shock you when you have to hand over the money rather than use a card. There's a lot of leeway in your expenses as others have pointed out. You seem keen to get to grips with your spending, so good luck." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Thanks, everyone. You're absolutely right. We work hard (evenings, weekends), but still not really achieving what we want because of frittering.MF-WANNABE

Tks for the tip about the board. Will check it out. Would love to think we could halve our food spend!

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but the key to stopping your 'frittering' could be a spending diary? I only kept one for about 10days as that's all it took for me to work out where the pennies were going!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Lots of good suggestions, especially the spending diary and using cash where possible. You both seem to work very hard but it must be very defeating to see all the money 'disappear'....re the little one, great you are on disposable nappies that are cheaper but perhaps in a few months you can think of getting her out of nappies (at least in the day time) ? DS was a bit older than that, but many of the girls at toddlers, and some boys (although less) are out of nappies by 2! Not nagging you, just thought I would mention it as it seems we are getting later with toilet training, and it need not be the case!
