Has anyone done this?
I have got a pair of Hunter wellies and I love them. They are so comfy and I can (and do!!) walk miles in them. I can't imagine ever going back to 'ordinary' wellies because I just wouldn't be able to walk the distances in them I currently do. I can wear my Hunters all day and they're really comfy.
Anyway, my current pair have sprung leaks. I have a leak on both boots, in the same place. It's on the side of the ball of the foot, you know, where the big toe joint is. I can't see any holes and with it being on the same place on both feet I suspect that it's wear and tear on the seam. Apart from that the boots are still in great shape despite being about 10 years old and having had a lot of wear.
I wondered if it's possible to repair them? New ones cost between £60-£70 these days and although it's a good investment for me seeing as they do last a long time and I do wear them a lot, I thought I'd see if I can repair these ones first.
I wondered if there was anything I could get that I could just run along the seam and maybe repair the leak? Something like a kind of glue, or silicone?
Thanks for any help!

Maybe you could get in touch with Hunter and ask them what they'd suggest. You never know, they might offer to repair them.0

Thanks to Apollonia for the Stormsure website URL.
I have just looked at their site and they have the perfect product at a very reasonable price, probably more competitive than Hunter dare I say. I am thrilled because I've got three pairs of boots all with a hole in the sole so with this product I will have dry feet again especially when every field is waterlogged.
Thank you again Apollonia.0 -
