Residents powerless to remove illegal immigrants from their gardens
"At first sight, the piles of rubbish and debris strewn across this garden make it look just like a rubbish tip. But on closer inspection, it is revealed to be a makeshift camp for desperate Eastern European immigrants.
Around a dozen are camping out in residents' gardens, sheds and even their trees as they cannot afford their own homes. Those who live in the street in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, have been told they are powerless to remove the trespassers taking shelter on their land."
FACT Enoch was right!

Pretty unbelieveable. What is the job of the police if they cannot enforce against trespass? Probably too busy arresting little old ladies whose council tax is one day late.0

It must be hell for the residents effected, and to rub salt in the wound the authorities seem uninterested and inept and of no help.0

If that was my garden, they would be gone within 24 hrs of me finding them.

Trespass is a civil matter. Plod will not intervene.
Anyway our incompetent, inept, spineless police do not care unless they can scrounge an on the spot fine from someone."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

Not a huge amount. The constituency itself is part the city centre which is a dive, there is also a large asian population - all decent people from what I saw and very little racial tension, and part some of the small villages on the outskirts which are very very pleasant. Stewart Jackson will increase his majority."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

Wow hold on just a minute. This is one street in Peterborough, I can't see it affecting house prices for an entire area. They are a problem however I'm sure if you involve a bat or another form of weapon the police would quickly get involved. :rotfl: As long as your property is properly secured and aren't down the most dodgy end of town I can't see there ever being a problem. As someone living in Peterborough, I'd never buy down that street anyway as its not a very nice area.0 -
I'd hire a minibus, round them up, give them a good pub meal, then drive them round to the house/garden of a local MP or top policeman ... somebody who has washed their hands of the matter.... they'll sort it out then.0
