Hello, I wonder if anyone has any ideas about this.
This morning my laptop wouldnt switch on (packard bell tj68). The charging light was on (battery full) so I knew it wasn't that. After about ten mins when I was about to give up it came to life. This was after I had pressed practically every key on the keyboard and then the 'on' button for the 20th time.
All is well but am now scared to turn it off. Any idea what is wrong with it and what (if any) key strikes made it come back to life?
I realise its not urgent as its now working now but am still concerned.
Thanks,Jo

possibly had gone into hibernate mode as opposed to turned off , you normally wake it up by holding the power button down for a few secondsEx forum ambassador

also worth removing the battery and then trying to turn it on , not unknown for a battery cell to start to fail and prevent them bootingEx forum ambassador

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.
That was one of the first things I tried.I held it down for quite a while hoping it was that but it didn't do anything.
It wasn't til a good few mins later that it came back to life.0
