Aldi opened here yesterday. That will give some competition to Waitrose & Sainsburys.
They were giving out "golden envelopes" to the first 100 yesterday. Don't know what time the first arrived as was told there were 400 by opening time! Mind you the first 10 were given TV sets!
Thought their special fruit & veg at 59p were good & looked better quality than our Sainsburys stuff.
Looking forward to their weekly specials - the gas barbeque next week looks interesting.

If anyone signed up to the Avery site, after requesting free goodies, look out for an e-mail. There is an offer in it to the recipient only for some removable labels.
    Their freebies are usually good.

Oh!! I'm not a city girl myself so I can appreciate the nickname. My dream is to have a house in the middle of 200 acres and not a neighbor within a 10 mile radius, now that would be heaven!!!;)

Well I'm originally fom the land of Scrumpy and Zider apples, so not a city girl either, but must confess, I'd not want to live in the middle of nowhere either - a happy medium would suit me. :)
You can have too much country living though - I live 2 minutes from farmers fields and it gets kinda high when they spread the fields with muck. :(

Martin is asking for help with his petition for financial education in schools.
Here is the link if you agree & want to help the numbers grow.

We need to have all our children educated in finance so they don't go through the mess we are currently in.

Art classes should include safe MOC cutting. History, would be before black friday. ( I actually remember in the seventies cutting out coupons from the newspaper for our local co-op shop)
IT ; the printing and manipulation of ya coupon.
Drama would be role-playing with an old trout and how to avoid. Religious education (for believers) praying to the MOC gods. Mathematics would be the study of ya till receipt to make sure you've got all the correct discounts via ya MOC's.
Ballet should be replaced by MOC dancing:cool:
