BR Date set, SOA - Please Help!!

Hi everyone,

After a couple of years of hoping my debt will reduce, and going backwards and forwards wondering what to do, I'm taking the plunge by going BR a week on Monday.

Our court operates an advance service kinda thing. I've got to take my forms in next Thursday, then go back on the Monday after for declaration.

Just wondering if someone would be so kind as to check my SOA to see if its likely to be accepted by the OR?

I hopefully wont get an IPA but I will pay one if need be. I accept I owe the money and will pay whatevers needed.

Thanks in advance,

David x

just a few comments to get you started hope this helps
  • Hi confused76,

Thats great... How come they want my partners income? is that taken into account when calculating an IPA/O?

All the above figures are my share of the bills is that what they want? Or the total cost of the bill? :s

I'm a bit nervous now, getting closer.

Have my appointment at BArclays tomorrow to get my account up and running :).

Another big concern is a BRO. I took out a payday loan for 70 about six weeks ago before I decided on BR, am I likely to get a BRO for this? It was for living exenses, but I rolled interest over last month.

I'm so nervous about it all, but I was going to go on a DMP but I got a CCJ which brought my available to repay balance down so CCCS couldn't help me as it brought me under the threshold.

Thanks for all the help - really appreciate it.

    hi
they will want to see all of the household bills, plus partners contribution to those household expenses (not whole income as your partner will have their own commitments) does that make sense? re-do it and we can take a look

it's hard to say what they'd give a bro for, but in the grand scheme of things £70 is not that much, so just go for it and try not to worry about that. it was living expenses not a new tv!

you're bound to be nervous, i was a wreck for weeks! it does get easier though

    anything else please ask :)

hi dont forget to add £25 for holidays :)
  • Ok, so will I need to send copies of the bills to the OR? They're all in my partners name except council tax / tv lic - were both on there.

Will this be ok? I give him cash every month to pay for them, so can't prove that I pay towards them. But I do.

    :s

    Cheers

i don't think they normally ask for copies of bills, unless you've got something excessive on there - eg claiming a lot of petrol, they might ask for receipts.

don't worry about everything being in your partners name, that's not relevant.

the fact you give your partner the cash for bills - they must come across this all the time so don't worry, i know it's hard not to!!
  • :) thats great... I will get my SOA up tomorrow morning, feel I need a *very* early night lol.

Thanks motherb I didn't realise that you could have holiday allowance :) - even better.

Thanks guys, be back in the morning.
