Trying to be more proactive now after a bad week.
I'm getting bloomin well fed with Payplan, they never reply to any e-mails I send and I'm constantly being bombarded with calls and letters from creditors. Am I able to leave them and start normal repayments to back to whom I owe as I'm now in a better financial and personal state.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It is normal to get letters if your DMP is quite new, Payplan should be dealing with those for you so get on the phone to them if you are feeling harrassed by your creditors. It is not always easier to deal with things yourself so maybe just give it a bit longer and once the creditors has had a few payments they usually calm down.Moved to Denmark for FIRE by Aug 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

HI, i'm feel very similar. PP never paid my creditors properly (either later than agreed, not at all or the wrong amount), take ages to answer now and i've decided to take over myself (with DFW support!). Creditors have so far welcomed my letters and accepted my payments. good luck!Lightbulb moment: July 2006

I've made four payments to Payplan so far and it's taken approaching three weeks approx after I've paid them the money for them to pay the creditor.
If the original company has passed the debt to a recovery firm should I contact the original stating the reasons I stopped paying them and promise to be good from now on?
Would this help to make my credit file a bit more bareable if it shows regular repayments?0 -
I have been with Payplan for over a year now and only recently have the payments been 1 or 2 days late to the creditors despite having left my account at the start of the month. I was told that a Bank holiday may have not helped in May, but June was no excuse. Makes you think though but not sure I could handle some of the grief direct from the creditors.0

I have done all my payment plans myself and its not as hard as it first seems, you have to be in an emotional position where you are stong enough to fight for your rights. For some the CCC or payplan are a great help and for others they arn't (they told me to go bankrupt).
How you handle your situation is up to you. Now you are back on your feet you can take control.Barclaycard 3800
